“Breath and Imagination” at Virginia Stage Company

I am honored to be directing this new produciton of “Breath & Imagination” for Virginia Stage Company in Norfolk, VA.

“From slave spirituals on a Georgia plantation to classical opera for the King and Queen, the son of a former slave sings his way to worldwide celebrity and blazes a path many others would follow as the first African-American classical vocalist to sing internationally. A true story of hope and perseverance unfolds onstage through the memories, struggles and songs of Roland Hayes.”

Show runs, March 31, 2015 – April 19, 2015.
